Pregnancy & You

I’m Pregnant
What’s Happening to Me?
Carrying a child in the womb is as complex as it is joyful. It brings about a number of changes within your body. The earliest signs of pregnancy can appear in the first few weeks after conception. Your experience may range from nausea and tender breasts to dizziness and mood swings. It is important to understand these symptoms because understanding them can help ease your worries.

My 1st Trimester
There’s a lot going on in your body as your baby begins developing. Since these changes are happening in a short span of time, things can get a bit challenging. If you are pregnant and in your first trimester, you are probably excited and anxious at the same time, but a bit of fact-finding is all you need to lay your worries to rest.

My 2nd Trimester
With the coming of your second trimester, the symptoms you experienced during your first trimester, like morning sickness and fatigue, will fade. You can make time and room to prepare for the baby. Most women find these three months the easiest. However, your body does undergo a few changes during this trimester and many women feel sore due to the pressure of the extra pregnancy weight.

My 3rd Trimester
This is the most emotionally and physically challenging trimester one can experience during pregnancy and it’s only a matter of time before your baby will be born. One can expect more aches, pain and swellings as the baby grows, so it is common to be anxious about the delivery. As the baby is growing, its movements will become very obvious.

The Right Nutrition During
Pregnancy & Lactation
During pregnancy and post-partum, the body undergoes immense physical and hormonal changes. To nourish your changing body and your growing baby, it’s important to make good food choices from an array of sources.
